    1. Protests

    Ok everyone
I have had a few people mention there is no defined thread for the NEXT PROTEST

I have sevreal Unions on board for a big march on Parliament, and the wheels are starting to roll
Dates set for 16th February, at this point its a logical date as the Corrections Union are having a march the week before, and some other group have one the week after so we get a finite window of oppotunity to pull this off.

I have requested permission from the Speaker to enter the grounds en-masse on 16th February.

This is about more than just Bikers but we want to have a strong presence there.

I need about 3-400 bikers to attend on the day and make a visible presence at the front of the house, but this time speakers will all be Unionists and Academics and other disafeccted groups (is that the right term?)

Its gonna take some work to pull it off again, and I am hoping we get the same support we got last time for the BIKEOI, but wont hold my breath.

Anyone keen to help, PM me
And I aint talking about handing out fliers, I mean WORK and responsibility for some of the organisation...(nearly killed myself the last time with exhaustion.)

This iwll be along the same lines as the BIKEOI, peacefull but a strong message
Want loads of signs, banners, and a good chant, one I think we have heard before, LOL

    1. ACC Levy News

BRONZ (Auckland) held its first meeting of 2010 last night, and confirmed its position regarding ACC levies .

BRONZ has outstanding and ongoing concerns about :

    • The size of the levy (for large bikes in particular), and the probability of large increases next time round.
    • Separate cc classifications
    • The problem of multi vehicle ownership

    BRONZ confirmed its three objectives

Abolition of the separate motorcycle classification
    Abolition of cc distinction
Abolition of statutory full funding requirement

(achieving no 1 would automatically eliminate no 2 , but they were both kept because no 2 may be a stepping stone to no 1)

BRONZ also confirmed its opinion that a fairer method of collection should be established.

BRONZ considered specific actions for Q1 2010.

No specific BRONZ organised protest action is planned for Q1, but BRONZ will continue to endorse protests that meet BRONZ criteria (legal, not having disruption as the primary reason, though recognising that protest usually entails some disruption to someone)

BRONZ will undertake a program of education and persuasion targeted at the public and at decision makers and influencers, focused on the objectives above. These targets include National and Labour MPs, media, and the general and motorcycling public

BRONZ will review specific protest action (ie megaphones, bikes on the road) as ACC actions or events provide a 'hook' to centre protest action on - noting that the next such event is likely to be the release of the report of the ACC Stocktake Group, forecast for March

BRONZ also noted the invidious position of the AA as regards motorcycles and resolved to communicate concerns to the AA.

    1. Site Changes

Over 6 hours. That's gotta be the longest an upgrade has taken.

This upgrade is a work in progress, as there is still much to do. I have modified the code for my Trader, Calendar, Event Attendance, Image Browser & Censor mods to work with the new software, but have still to do the following:

    Quote Notification
    avatar/profile pic censoring
    Profile Rep Stats
    Fallen Bikers page
    JavaChat Integration
Force Style for Selected Users or Groups
    PM Reply to all
    Flame Warrior

    Mods awaiting an update
    Advanced Forum Statistics
    Social Group Calendars
    v3 Arcade
    vBTubePRO
    KB Spy
    Wiki single login

The old Dark Zone style is not compatible with the new version. As soon as I find a dark style I like, I will add it to the site.

All your images from Blogs, Social Groups, Albums and Posts are now in a central pool which is controlled via an enhanced attachment uploading window. You may need to enable it your settings.

Image censoring has also changed. Now all iffy images need to be in a folder called "pr0n". You can have as many pr0n folders as you like anywhere in the folder tree. Again you may need to enable enhanced attachment uploading in your settings. So yes, you will now need to go through all your images and drag & drop all the naughty ones into a pr0n folder.

Until I've sorted the Wiki single login, you will need to login to the Wiki seperatly using your KB login name. New Wiki accounts have also been disabled. If you have content to add to the Wiki and don't have a login, let me know.

It will be several weeks before I've finished coding and sorting the new look.

Anything not working as it should, let me know here.
