Warning, get some paper towels to wipe up the drool from the two stroke lovers - this hybrid R6/RZ500 was built in Australia apparently has extensive motor work, lots of Titanium and weighs in at 135Kg, don't know much more about it than that, just got sent the pics by someone at Yamaha NZ.

Enjoy -

Finally finished! I saw some pics of that bike when it still had the blue road gear on it, but wasn't quite ready to be ridden yet. I wish he'd left the expansion chambers raw, the welding was pure sex against the blue body work.

Would be interesting to see how it stacks up against a similarly prepped R6 with the normal four banger motor!

I wish mine had :bye:

Very nice looking bit of kit.

Is there any reason (2-stroke newbie) why there's a muffler for each pipe? I would have though you'd want to run them back to one can, or will that interfere with what's going on in the expansion chamber?

You answered your own question there mate. There is an animated gif that was posted up recently about what happens with the expansion chamber and why it helps with combustion.

Yeah, but being R6 based I wouldn't think it would be too hard to make it legal.....

Very Nice, The bike world needs something exciting like this, When was the last big 2stroke road bike? 1987ish RG500 and RZ500. When there were rumors in 1996 that Yamaha were going to possibly release a TZR750 i was about to spend my house deposit on one:2thumbsup
