Schools in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu are banning ‘risky’ stunts, following an event where a martial arts instructor rode a motorbike over student’s hands. A further stunt saw the instructor ride the bike over a plank laid on top of a girl lying on the ground.
The head of Tamil Nadu's elementary school department, K Devarajan, said all 50,000 schools in the state would be told not to hold events which involve "risky stunts and practices".
Martial arts are extremely popular among Indian students and many schools hold special classes.
