Schools in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu are banning ‘risky’ stunts, following an event where a martial arts instructor rode a motorbike over student’s hands. A further stunt saw the instructor ride the bike over a plank laid on top of a girl lying on the ground.

The head of Tamil Nadu's elementary school department, K Devarajan, said all 50,000 schools in the state would be told not to hold events which involve "risky stunts and practices".

Martial arts are extremely popular among Indian students and many schools hold special classes.

Were the students hurt?

Were the students hurt?

Probably not; and the parents more than likely gave their OK. But I suppose it would only be a matter of time before it got out of hand and an instructor decided to prove how hard they were by waving a chainsaw around!

Of course, if this happened in NZ or the UK, the safety nazis would try to ban motorcycles completely.
