hi there , I have a 1992 yamaha Zeal 250 , anyway it has been brilliant but lately been a bit clunky when going through the gears especially 1st to second, it has had an oil change about 3500km ago. I adjusted the clutch cable by the hand lever and that seems to have made it worse so i adjusted it again and now clutch takes quite far out and is a bit better . I have noticed if i use the engine to break and come to a stop at a traffic light and then pull off i can hear a clunk as if the front sprocket was slipping and then catching. I checked it and it looks ok. it seems to be mainly from 1st to second and often when changing just goes into neutral.. please can someone shed some light on what could be the problem...

and does anyone know a good bike mechanic on the shore :)

All sorted , just my fiddling that stuffed it up , took it to suzuki on barrys point and all ok after adjustment. I did not know there were dampers on the back sprocket....what a noob!
