Nice to see positive action taken by the police:

Devon and Cornwall, UK police have purchased a Harley-Davidson and an unspecified sportsbike. The bikes have been painted in police livery are taken to motorcycle events to encourage bikers to talk about safety issues.

Inspector Andrew Hamilton said "I have noticed that we attract more and more riders associated with these styles of bike. It is unusual to see these bikes in police livery so people come up to look at them and ask us questions and then we have a captive audience and we can offload the safety message to them." He added that since the bikes began use in this way, accident rates would appear to have fallen.
