According to Kyodo news, Suzuki will commence manufacture of motorcycles at a new plant in Jiangsu, China, from ‘early 2010’ – one year behind schedule.
The new plant will focus on making small capacity (125cc) machines, in partnership with the Grand River Group, China’s largest motorcycle maker. Production at the new plant is aiming for 200,000 units in year one, increasing to 500,000 units once full production is achieved.
