Ok so i just had a stone or something put a nice lil hole in my radiator :spanking: Has anyone made any guard or protector type thing to help prevent this? I was thinking of a mesh type of thing but if anyone's had any experience with creating something and would like to share ideas or what mesh they used. The Mech at the shop said he had made some before so might have to pick his brain

I made one for my oil and water cooler out of 'whitebait mesh' from Mitre10

Works a treat.

Mine has a mesh guard on it as standard,I wouldn't think it would be too hard to fit one on yours.....

Hopefully you weren't too far from home when the stone hit!

Cheap option: Buy some sort of mesh rubbish bin from the warehouse or off cuts from a metal working place. Cut and shape to fit, then mount.

Middle option: Buy RacePro Racemesh from Repco, or likewise from other places. Cut and shape to fit, then mount.

Expensive option: Find some online store selling rad guards for your specific model of bike and buy and mount it.

There are all sorts of choices as some mentioned above. Ullrich Aluminium sell different grade sheets for about $30. Cut to shape, surround with rubber beading (Para Rubber) and mount with zip ties.
