i told kyle this already and hes trying to find ways to blackmail me now... i may come, but may not - i'm booked to do a cross country flight this sat, so prob won't be back till the arvo. in which case, i'll have missed the ride... but who knows, i may pass overhead when u're at some part of the corro on my way back from tauranga.

aaargh! i'll see... if i can convince my instructor to change the day i fly, then mayb.

ahahaha fair call mate, just that the consensus atm is pretty high on "dont get them". so ill just go to one of the bearing companies ive seen recommended. just want to confirm what parts im replacing.

on the powdercoating note, who did u do it with? they do a good job and whats their price like? cheers bud.

Cost about 350ish I think to get frame, wheels, swingarm, triple clamp, stand and lots of other smaller things done. Good job too.

These guys sound like the dogs bollocks (do they deal with rust on the frame or is it easier to just get most of it off yourself?), just need to find somewhere that will paint the tank/plastics then get everything done in one glorious go.

How simple is it to add some oil to forks? i think my fork suspension feels really loose. Aron was saying u just need to add a little and it tightens up a lot. if that's the case, it sounds like a good thing to do to the vtr. squiggs.. u done much fork oil adding/changing? is it expensive and hard to do?

They send the bits off to somewhere else first to get it sandblasted back to bare metal so you don't need to do any prep other than removing this you don't want to be painted/cooked etc.

Yep, #1 & #2 are the dust seals, number 2 being the most important one as you're sure to fook the old one getting it off. The bearings there are koyo and the seals arai

It's not quite that easy but if it hasn't been changed in a while, that can make a big difference.

You should change the oil, it'll almost certainly be well past its use by date

you are probably down on oil and it'll need replacing anyway. It isn't difficult if you've got the right tools
