A ‘peace pact’ has been signed by the Hells Angels and Bandidos, to seek a path of peaceful co-existence in Germany.

The deal – brokered by legal firm Goetz von Fromberg – was made public with a handshake at Fromberg’s office. According to Fromberg, the two sides came to the realization that "the behavior of individual members in the past had led to serious concerns in the general public and also the rest of the biker scene."

Doubts have been raised, with Lower Saxony's Interior Minister Uwe Schuennemann calling the deal an "unadulterated media spectacle” and a spokesman for the German Police adding the pact is "all smoke and mirrors to camouflage their rowdyism and criminal machinations."

The deal sets out a division of territories. Each group is to respect the others territory and is not to set up rival gangs, recruit members or conduct transactions in that area.

They could call these territories the "East" and the "West"...
