hi guys.just a quick question? would a 95rm barrel fit on a 89 rmx engine.seems it hard to find a good one and 95 is a bit newer at least. also could i use my 89 rmx power valves in the 95 barrel
cheers

highly unlikely, is a race bred machine so you'd be lucky if the barrels were the same the next year, let alone 6 years difference!

well i wouldnt be so sure,
the rmx used the same bore and stroke from 89-92 and the rm from 89-95
the rm's had a different port design and power valves,
your best bet if your barrel is buggered is to send it off to boss engineering

they will re-sleeve the barrel
just supply them with a new piston and rings along with the buggered barrel and the will make a new one to fit,

depends what your after,
ive had a cylinder replated by those guys and they did a great job,
and ive had a cylinder re-sleeved by the guys in wanganui,
re-plating cost over double, and when i wore through it i had no option but to re-plate again, atleast with a re-sleeve ive got the option of just a re-bore and oversized piston,

normally these things come down to money,
well for me it did,
