The need for blood is constant. In New Zealand, 150,000 whole blood units will need to be donated in the next 12 months to meet clinical needs.
That means it is time for you to be like a cow.
No, no need to go out in the paddock and moo and chew the cud...
Instead, come along to the blood centre and be hooked up to a machine. Let them 'milk' you.
If cows can do it every day, twice a day then you can do it once every three months!
What: Mass blood donation
When: Tuesday 19th October, 5-7pm
Where: Blood Centre, Great South Road (Behind Dilworth School)
Why: For the chocolate bikkies. For the bragging rights.
Because, let's face it, you are young and healthy and non-mad-cowish and totally have 500ml to spare
Moo. Peace out!
