Made the mistake of telling a mate this morning that I was planning to go out and get lost in the Hunuas for a while today. Turned out to be more accurate than I thought! :facepalm:

Started off quite easy.

Some long deep chunky gravel downhill descents later, and the DRZ is really coming into its own. Pity about the completely unsuitable tyres, but traction doesn't seem too necessary.

Start getting deeper into the jungles.

Depending on what you are needing a mule for, I wouldn't mind a drive out to Muriwai. Plenty of room for gas/gear in the car.

it's getting from murwai to the dunes that presents the problem - some bright spark decided to close off the old woodhill bike park beach access so now my dirtbike goes through an entire tank just getting up and down the length of the beach:violin:
