Just bought a Micron Carbon Fibre Muffler
for my ZX10R as the bike is black this muffler
just makes it look like a stealth fighter.
just need to tidy up the back end a bit
(It also has Not For Road Use on it, we will
see)

Yeah the carbon and Ti stuff is so much lighter. I got a Ti Akra for mine and it was less than half the weight of stock.

Your flatmates will def hate you. That thing will be loud as. When I first got mine it could set off 3 of the cars in my apartment's alarms off...stoked :devil2:

you shouldn't "need" to fit a PC as you're only bolting on a pipe.

I see the Euro spec 10r's they're trying to flog off come with a micron pipe allready fitted.(as the stock pipe is restricted, aparently)

If you got your 10 lately, I hope you got a good deal as the new one will be out in 06.

here a some picsOverdue pics not attached for some reason, keep tryin there Madmax.

I'm glad you're happy with the new muffler! The stealth-fighter look and it only weighing a feather sound fitting for the awesome ZX-10. I think the "not for road use" stickers come out with most aftermarket mufflers! Good to hear you are tricking the bike up heaps - deserves it!

Bring it along (or it bring you along) this Saturday up to Waipu. :ride:

will have to retake the pics later
There was a slight gear wine on the last service
so the beast has had to have the alternator gear drive replaced
under waranty, the bad part is that the part has to come from
japan
(lance lowe had the same problem with his race bike so probably got the only
spare in NZ)
mabey i should get Kawasaki NZ to pull the race bike down,
have been on a training session all week so am picking up a loner
tomomrow

:devil2:Delayed muffler enjoyment - that sucks the kumara!

Hey Max, did your ZX-10 have to get its front rim replaced on the recall or was that before its time?

Madmax
28th July 2005, 18:53
Had the front replaced a week after i got it
they have only had about 4 or 5 alternator
gears go though, mostly on race bikes i gather
shit just sounded like clutch noise to me.
That one gear is worth 800$ but Kawasaki are going to replace
the whole lot just to be sure.

The lone bike is honda NT650 bros at the moment
Shit just to get any power you have to thrash it in
first gear (and i have this strange urge to get off and push it sometimes)
the seat is so low i feel like i am riding an arm chair.
having said this it would make a good commuter bike.
(why put a single sided swing arm on a bike like this)
:weird:

ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK , NEW BIKES ARE MEANT TO BE RIDDEN NOT REPAIRED.
I HEARD LYNTON HOLDINGS THE KAWASAKI IMPORTERS FOR NZ DECIDED TO BUY ALL THEIR KAWASAKI ROAD BIKES WITH NO FACTORY WARRANTY, THERFORE WHEN ALL THOSE WHEELS WERE REPLACED IT CAME OUTA THEIR POCKET , SAME WITH ALL THE C1 MODS , ITS CHEAPER FOR THEM TO LET THE BIKE FAIL AFTER YOU BUY IT THEN DO THE WARRANTY IF REQUIRED AS SOME WONT BE WARRANTYS , LIKE IF YOU SKIP A SERVICE OR THE BIKE WAS
PUT DOWN THE ROAD .
DID YOU KNOW SUZUKI DID MY SWING ARM BEARINGS FREE OF CHARGE JUST DAYS B4 THE WARRANTY EXPIRED , THEY DID POINT OUT TO ME THAT THE BIKE HAD BEEN THRASHED AND THAT IT WAS A FAIR WEAR AND TEAR ITEM YET THEY CAME THRU FOR ME AGAIN.
EVERY MANUFACTURER HAS PROBLEMS , ITS HOW THEY DEAL WITH THOSE PROBLEMS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

hey buddy. can you describe the noise? my makes some really funny noises that im not worried about, but maybe i should be. cheers.

Madmax
16th August 2005, 22:01
Its an odd ball clutch noise when you pull the clutch in it gets louder
and it makes a kind of clicking when you give it a bit in first
(kind of like an old two stroke clutch rattle,H1-H2 noise i just thought it
was normal)They think it is bottom end noise,it only seems to get the
early ones though..
there are five different part numbers for the parts though
so i guess i am the test bed for this mod (hope not)
will have to give them some shit in the morn
:devil2:

Madmax

will give them some shit in the morn,
have had some good shit with some brands.
(dam still own an H1 500 tripple, and ZXR750! just this one has let me down)
just whish it was a tripple, i would have had the engine apart inside 30 mins
fixed in 50 backin in an hour, but his one does better gas per Km
(sort of and does not try to kill me as often!! i think but then
my mind went a while back)
mabey i will just have to whack a full house H2R engine
in the 750 frame (go F750) as an odd ball bike.
I wonder if kawasaki NZ need some NOS parts for H1s as i have some
(mabey i can swap them for some ZX10R parts)
