View Full Version : Missing teeth of my driving gear

So a little ago I was riding along the road and my axle nut flew off, wheel goes wobbly, lost of power, etc and then at the same time I bought it back home and my kick start wasn't working properly on the CT. And how the nut flying off could've caused it?

It would kick it at the 12 o clock position and then it would go past the 6 o clock and then it kept on going. I knew something is sorta farked inside, so I pulled apart the right hand crankcase cover and I find that I'm missing 2 teeth on my big driving gear.

So, just need to work out if the kick start issue is an isolated problem and is caused by the missing teeth or there's more than one problem going on here.

Actually, just found out that I just need to replace it and see if I can get it going again.

The drive chain locked up after the axle nut fell off and that action must have crunched up the gear big time.
