Looks like the bastards are patenting one of my crazy ideas

Get rid of the throttle bodies and have a stopper that sits in the top of the intake where it opens into the air box and put an injector in that. Then lift the stopper to control the air flow. Providing much finer control at low throttle openings would be one of the biggest problems, that and having a flexible fuel rail. The injector in the stopper bit would add to quite a heavy throttle as well.
