When the ATS-Group were hired to execute drive tests across the whole of London, to analyse the communication networks that serve the capital mobile devices, the issue of traffic congestion hindering the work was a potential show-stopper.

The solution? Move the kit to motorcycles. ATS has specially developed a system that can be carried by a bike in panniers, citing bikes as being more agile and having a far lower ecological impact. ATS also said that running costs for bikes is far less.

“Use of a motorcycle-based drive test system clearly has a great deal of value to our customers as they endeavour to bolster their network resources while subscribers’ data usage demands continue to climb,” states Tom Bryer, Managing Director at ATS-Group. “Having access to the right combination of tools was paramount to the success of this project and partnering with Livingston has allowed us source everything we needed in the most financially practical and convenient manner.”
