1970’s hit series CHiPs, following the adventures of two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers Francis "Ponch" Poncherello and Jon Baker, is to reach the big screen courtesy of Warner Brothers, who have acquired the film rights.

Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Fez on "That '70s Show," will star as Ponch (originally played by Erik Estrada. Larry Wilcox played Baker).

Hollywood REALLY did run out of ideas a couple of years ago, didn't it?

Idea's...what idea's???

It's true that no movie will be the same as the original CHiP's. Why can't hollyweird just leave programs like this alone... Ponch is Erik Estrada, not Fez or anyone else...aarrgghh!

I can just hear that squeaky voiced bum-bandit as Ponch. Travesty!

I'm with you guys on this. They can never recreate that duo.

Just like Dukes of Hazard etc etc etc.

Leave our heros alone! :-)
