Toppled despot Saddam Hussein has said that he planned to emulate Steve McQueen by escaping his pursuers on a motorbike.

Saddam said he moved from hideout to hideout every few days before returning to the farmhouse where he was caught. He said that when the soldiers arrived, the plan was to escape through the tunnel to some bushes where the motorcycle had been hidden. "But [the] motorcycle was gone," his lawyer, Ramsey Clark said "He told us, 'I had been set up.'"

U.S. soldiers dragged him - bearded and bedraggled - from the hole in a village near his hometown of Tikrit, Iraq, in December 2003.

He was a brave brave man though. I mean he said he'd fight to the death!

Then they pointed guns at him...

Me - I'm more the "I SURRENDER" type

...meh. easy to be brave when you ain't got anything left and you're gonna be hung as soon as the trials over.
