Got a lazy 80,000pounds to spare. One of two bikes ridden by the late Barry Sheene: 1984 XR45 & 1983 XR40

Tiny bit more information as follows:

"Two motorcycles raced by Barry Sheene will be among the star lots at the two-wheeler auction forming part of the Shepton Mallet Bike Show on February 11/12.

The machines are a works Suzuki XR40 from 1983 and the only remaining works Suzuki XR45 from the following season. Estimates for both are at around the £70,000 mark.

I thought the smallest you could get was an XR50....are these XR40s Chinese copies or something? No wonder this Sheene guy was a nobody riding little bikes like that....

Those chinese have really screwed up this time trying to copy an XR50 and then saying its a Suzuki. Maybe they thought if they said it was a Honda no one would wanna buy it.

I know who Barry Sheene is he's the guy that invented Pledge.

Ahhh yeah old Bazza, remember chatting away with him in a Brissie bike shop in 99 we were looking at the 1st MV F4 with all the carbon shit on it.... we were both very very impressed:Punk:
