Honda’s CBR125R was the best selling motorbike in the UK in 2005. 2,738 of the learner legal machines were sold.

Looks nice. I'd have thought that they could probably squeeze a little more than 9.7 kW out of a 4 stroke 125 though? My 17 year old CBR250 has/had ~33 kW.

You also have to bear in mind that in the UK/Europe, there are also power to weight restrictions in place.

So whilst Honda could probably squeeze more out of it, they're restricted legally to what they're allowed.

The UK learner motorcycle specification is an engine size of up to 125cc and a power output of 11kw (14.6bhp).

That extra 1.3 kW could come in handy when tryin to impress da wimmins.
