Below is the article from the Franklin County News Tuesday 28th of March.

Headline:: "Local rider killed in motocross accident."

Barry Senn of Pukekohe died after a tragic motocross accident at a practice race at Mr Motorcycle Raceway in harrisville on march 25.

Police say the 40 year old appeared to have come off his bike after doing a jumpand was struck by a following rider.

Mr Senn was lying in the middle of the track, apparently knocked unconscious after falling off. The following rider that came over the rise that blocked Mr Senn from view and hit him.

"He couldn't avoid him" says Senior sergant Rob Arnold.

The second rider also fell off, but was not injuired.

Two doctors at the scene assisited Mr Senn, who had bad head injuires. He was airlifited to hospital where he later died.

The race way is a private motocross run by a committee where drivers sign in and ride at their own risk,says Mr Arnold.

Police investigations are continuing, and the serious crash unit will reconstruct the accident to find out exactly what happened.

Pukekohe Motorcycle Club is deeply saddened at the loss says president Scott Wilkins (KBer). " Barry was a great supporter and sponser of the club for over 20 years, a good person and freind to us all. Our Sincere condolences and thoughts are with his family during this difficult time ."
