For her whole life, Vera Roadnight (wonderful name) had the ambition to ride a motorbike, but somehow never got round to doing so.

So when she died at 91, he daughters decided the only way to give her a fitting send-off was in the sidecar of a Suzuki. Daughter Patricia said “Mum had been a very proper lady her whole life. But whenever she saw a motorbike she would just be fascinated. It really was the perfect send-off for her and lightened the mood on a sad day.”

YES, true story!

This is "Biker News" not "Biker Fairy Tales"!

:kick:

The lady in question lived in Gosport, near Portsmouth. I do agree though, well done to her daughters for their action in making her dream come true, albeit rather belatedly.

I know ... I know ...! it's "No root, no ride home" . It was a popular thing to have on rear windows of cars when I was a teenager in Oamaru .. err...several years ago.
