Fife based company BTS Motorsport has unveiled plans for it’s Velocity Motorcycles (VMC) range of bikes. The company plans to sell three different models – a sports bike, a ‘chopper’ and a trike – at a ‘base cost’ of around £4,500.

Owner Roddy Nichol has changed the direction of the company over the last three years from dealing in imported bike parts from the Far East to producing models built to buyers' specifications.

Mr Nichol said the move to manufacturing came after the company noticed that there was a demand for a bespoke service "What we're offering is a very high level of customer specification and customisation in terms of colour and body style" he said "It's unlikely any two bikes we produce are ever going to be the same."

The first bike is expected in early 2007.
