Taiwanese bike and scooter manufacturer Kwang Yang Motor Co – better known to the world as KYMCO – is planning to produce what they are calling “the scooter with the world’s largest engine” at 700cc.
"We are putting the utmost importance on research and development," said KYMCO President Wang Son-chien "We want to soon narrow the gap in technology between us and Japanese and European manufacturers."
KYMCO started out in business forty years ago as an assembler of motorcycles for Honda. Honda stopped supplying KYMCO with technical know-how in 1994 and ended capital ties in 2003.
