M/C News has published the list of the top 10 bikes sold so far this year. No real suprises, I guess.

Touring: Yamaha FJR1300A
Cruiser: Harley Davidson FXSTI
Sports: Yamaha YZF-R1 (Very closely followed by R-6)
Sports/Tourer: Honda CBR1100XX
Naked: Suzuki GSX1400

The overall top 10 were nearly all off road bikes.

I never credited the Aussies for having discerning taste, but it looks like a re-think and apology is due, hehe:nya:

Honda CT110 is the top seller - when are people going to admit the Honda stepthrough is the best bike in the world?

No argument with that at all. I'm seriously considering doing the "Postie Challenge" through the Aussie outback on one in 2008. It would be one heck of an adventure.

Admittedly the figures are up because it's the Postie bike, and they may have bought all the bikes for the next five years yesterday - but why don't they use something else? It's the best product for the purpose, end of story.
