An American company has undertaken a new development – the luxury motorcycle resort.
‘Vintages’ – currently under construction in New Mexico - is being advertised as “A retreat for motorcycle riders’ that is all inclusive.” Each facility will have; resort-style amenities including extended-stay rental casitas, private ‘micro-locations’, spa, travel and touring services, motorcycle rentals (both new and vintage), vintage wines, cigar humidors, fine cuisine, concierge services, high-tech communication capabilities, picnic areas, sunrise and sunset viewing patios, training and events arena, an 800 seat amphitheatre for outdoor concerts, a race track for vintage motorcycles and carts as well as a museum. And all of this will be designed to “architecturally blend with the region’s natural scenic beauty.”
The company is planning to build twenty such resorts across North America. Membership will allow use of all clubs. “The only criteria for membership,” says Brad Leith, the brains behind the scheme “is that owning a motorcycle license would be mandatory.”
Well that – and a shed load of money to afford the membership perhaps.
