My clutch has slowly been deteriorating since i started doing clutch up wheelies, it used to do them at 8,000rpm now i have to be at 10-12,000rpm to lift it on the clutch in 2nd.

Anyway, do i need to replace just the fibres, just the plates, or both? Im guessing that opening it up and having a look would be a good idea but what exactly do i need to look for to know what needs replacing?

Usually just the fibre plates unless you've totally wrecked the clutch.

Another option is the springs may be a bit sacked out. My YZF started slipping ohh, 4 years back so I checked the plates & they weren’t really that worn. I bought some EBC aftermarket springs (from Serco in Aus). They were a bit stiff so I just used 3 & 3 of the originals evenly spaced. Been fine ever since.
