WA, NSW most dangerous, Tasmania safest for bikers

Western Australia and New South Wales have been found to be the most dangerous states, and Tasmania the safest in the country for motorbike riders.

Research by insurance company Swan has confirmed that in the two mainland states, nearly three quarters of all motorcycle crashes involving another vehicle were not the fault of the bike rider.

The company examined crashes over three years until 2003.

I guess Tasmania isn't so full of cagers to run down the bikers - oh and the weather aint so hot so perhaps the bikers aren't out so often and they have more protective gear on when they do.
