Australian Premier John Howard was taken aback when a group of bikers offered their services to co-ordinate a community forum in Caboolture, north of Brisbane. The bikers provided crowd control for a over 1200 people who wanted to meet Mr Howard.
"He nearly fell out of his car when he saw us standing there" said Ulysses Motorbike Club member Graham McKewin after meeting the Prime Minister. Another of the group added "Doing this sort of work helps, it changes the public perspective of bikers."
"It is very nice of you to help us this way," Mr Howard told the club "This is a bit different."
