I have a 1983 GSX250 and the engine has just shagged itself ( it would take ages to explain the problem, but i know its hardly worth trying to fix. ) So i was wondering, does anyone know a place where i could get another 83/84 GSX250 engine? Or does anyone know what other engines would bolt into a 83 gsx250 frame?

Thanks heaps.

Thanks heaps.I take it it is a twin. You may well find GSX400 and GS400/425/450 engines will slot in. Also pop down to the wreckers and check the engine mounts/size of the GS500 series engines or later GSX250 twins.

Mark, why did you substitute driveway gravel for engine oil? No wonder your bigend is all flogged out.

why is it that SHUT UP! yeesh... kids these days... its a suzuki, you could probably just wrap everything in ducttape and it would still fire up :P

as for engines, go down to the wrecker and see what you can squeeze in. If i was you (which im not, cause my suzuki is still working... hehe) id look for either a big arse single then regear it and use it as a fun bike or a parrallel (sp) twin. if i can remember correctly a gsxr400 engine should fit in that frame aswell... hmmm

Yeah i have found a place that has the engine i need now. Just need to get some money together so i can get it. Fingers crossed that all goes to plan. I will hopefully do that after i sell my VT250.
