Need some advice, as most will know the gearing on the nc30 is very tall (she goes off the clock at 190 in 4th gear), and wheelies are just a no no (just blew my gearbox).

So thinking is it worth downgearing the rear sprocket, how many teeth up shall/can i go?

top end is around 220, would happily comprimise that down to 200 for better acceleration.

Many thanks in advance,

Pete

Why not drop a tooth on the front sprocket? It'll have the same effect as adding 2-3 to the rear, and you won't need a longer chain. If the gearing is the same as a CBR400RR, that'd make it almost perfect for tracks like Taupo and Manfeild.
If you want to wheelstands everywhere a bigger bike might be an idea
