Hey all.

1994 Suzuki RF400 -

How many turns out for the fuel mixture screw.

Cheers

General rule of thumb is 1.1/4 - 1.1/2 turns from seated is a good place to start.

You do know that is only the idle mixture screw(s)??? Running mixture is controlled by the needles and the jets.

I am slightly baffled by this one because nudemetalz spent good money getting the carbs serviced and so why is there still a problem? All the symptoms described are of it running too rich with sooty plugs on all cylinders. If it was running well WTF was it really the overoiled air cleaner doing that? You can only try by fixing the aircleaner.

Any other problem like choke stuck or whatever usually the bike just won't run well.

Hey ya,

Thanks for the comment, as Ive mentioned in the other post I have changed the air filter and will see how it goes. However the plugs, after running it will no air filter are still sooty.
