Hi Guys, a bit of advice required.
I have a Honda CRF 450R 2003 model. I do regular oil (synthetic) and filter (air and oil) changes. Recently I have been using more oil than usual. Can't see any leaks and it doesn't appear to be blowing smoke. On full throttle or high constant revs it stutters every now and then. I read in the manual this could indicate a leaking head gasket, I have discounted this as there is no oil leak. I haven't checked the spark plug as yet. Does any one have any ideas? It may be time to replace the piston and rings. Does any one know what the cost would be to do this in a shop, if so who would you recommend in Auckland?
