My baby's getting a birthday!!! :Punk:

but we were quoted over $600 for valve guide seals, rings & gaskets from Suzuki NZ <_<

I've seen threads/posts on here where people say about getting stuff sent from overseas at a fraction of the prices of getting bits in NZ.. so, is anyone out there able to send any links to suppliers of engine parts please?? :wait:

Rings, valve guide seals & top end, or complete gasket set

She's a Suzuki 93 GSX400FL

I have the engine & chassis numbers here, if they would be of any help.

Much appreciated :first:

Bit of an oddball--I'd cross reference the parts you need against a more common model--say the gixxer 400
PSST--if you can get it down there you can have the RF400 engine Ive got here --FOC

Yeah.. it sure IS an oddball Frosty.. there's only a hand full of them in the country.. I've had her 6 years.. & nearly every job has been a mission to source parts

Thanks for the offer of the engine mate!! Will let my mechanic know bout it & see what he has to say! :2thumbsup

Have a looksie on ebay, Uk seems to have had a few bits, its a twin right? water cooled? no pistons- just fitting new rings?. A shop over there had a top gasket kit for $210(nz).

The problem that seems to come up all the time Tony is: no one has ever been able to find a definite manual for this bike.. (because it's such an odd ball) or find the engine/frame numbers etc in parts books, in order to match parts too.. so, how will we know IF the gixxer 400 parts.. will FIT my bike for sure??

For gaskets, try:
http://www.bkperformance.com.au/

I got side cover and sump gaskets from them and they were good service/value. I think they do head gaskets as well.
