Link doesn't work Steve.

Nish, I'd cycle with ya as I do it nearly everyday but I'd live like opposite directions. Maybe we can sort something out one day and I can meet ya half way somewhere.

Perhaps after I've got a better bicycle?

As the $40.00 one I bought off Trade-Me is on it's last legs, after using it so much.

Mountain biking's good fun. I've just been getting into it again lately in Welly since I picked up a new freeride bike. There are heaps of cool tracks to ride on and you don't have to go too far to get to them. The other week we went up to the 4x track at Mt Albert that was built for the nationals, and we've been getting up Mt Vic and a few other tracks around the place most lunchtimes.

We've got a group together at work called F3 (fatty fat fat) taking a fun approach to mountain biking that involves beer drinking, jumps and pies. We've got a blog up detailing our exploits. Check it out at www.f3nz.com. All are welcome on our lunchtime rides!

That sounds fun. I live kind of close to you and there is a warehouse bike in my garage, one with no suspension. But pain is there to make you stronger, right? :P

Is it hard to find a good bike on trademe? I am actually keen to get one and do some cycling so I can do a triathlon some time...

Last time I rode a bicycle I broke my arm, tore a ligament, had to get a skin graph on my shoulder and got stitches in my head. Mind you it was tied to the back of a car... I'll give it a miss thanks.

I haven't done much riding since my mountain bike was stolen. My brother left it at the mall over night. Dur.

Phoenix and I have started mountain bikeing since we moved to chch. I'm a whimp and just do easy tracks but phoenix is really into it! He has found that it is helped him on his motorbike as well! He generally cycles with a friend who can usually beat him uphill, but phoenix kixks him on the downhills everytime, since he aint afraid to crank it over.
Good luck finding a group

Actually, that was how i broke my leg, When i was 7, and my pushbike had an argument with the curb.
Mum told me nothing was wrong and to get over it!
But they actually gave me a green cast. And 6 weeks off school :D

yea man my mates trying to get a bike off trademe as well and hes having no luck either....im currently just tryna keep on road coz i want to get my fitness up first before i try and cart my ass up a hill....but i do want to test out the shocks on a hill....

oh and te ross, the brakes seem to act up a tad if held onto for an intermediate ie like if im goin down a hill and i hold onto it to slow down before i get to the roundabout , not asking you to fix it but wondering if that's normal/used to happen before......as mentioned before the last bike i had didnt have brakes so this is a new area for me
