good first bike?

Im getting my learner permit in about 2 months, but don’t know what bike to get….i want to get one wit a “drop” in between the back and front seats like the cbr and frz have, but all I can find around my area for under $4000 are Suzuki across’s and zzr250’s….and ideas on a bike?
