New bikes

Two nameless folk recently bought new (well, for a relative value of "new") bikes, one in Whakatane, and the other in Taupo.

One has a car.

The other has [access to] a trailer.

Combine the two, and you have a roadtrip!

Also to admire the insanely sexy beast of a machine that is powering this roadtrip. Current 0-100 time is 85 seconds.

Note that anyone who wants to pass this most considerately-parked car is well fooked.

We picked up another stray. That's about all you can say.

The oldies at the races were chuckling at us being so anal with the tiedowns.

We still managed to snap one on the way back. Note to self: Handbrakes and trailers should never be combined whilst moving.

0-100 time is now 145 seconds, with the aid of a downhill slope from 60kph onwards.

She runs, well, idles, a bit rough with the occasional splutter, but this is with slightly cleaned up old plugs of varying gap sizes (just gave the electrodes a light sand, wasnt going to waste 70 bucks fouling a set of new ones), will stick the new ones in if i have time tomorrow and see what i get from that :D
