Reminder for those that want to come along and ride Pocket Bikes on the Mt Wellington track or have a look at what they are all about.

This Saturday from 9.30, directions here, http://www.nzmmrc.co.nz/page.php?3
Cost to ride is $20, $10 kids. Minimum protective gear is ankles covered, knee pads, stout jacket, gloves & helmet (no visible flesh)

Is real good fun:niceone:

Would like to bring my son along to have a look, so it just costs ten dollars for him to have a go if he keen?

BigAl
11th June 2008, 14:55
Yes if he has a pocket bike and gear.

Just make sure if it is a Daytona that the side stand is ground off and no metal footpegs. I'll have some nylon pegs I can lend/sell if needed.

The more the merrier ;)

Glad you enjoyed it Grant, it's always a great day.

Got my new bike prep'd and fired up, it's fairly rapid so I can't wait to get it on the track next month.

Yeah the B1s are quite addictive and as you said get up and go when they hit the powerband.:2thumbsup
Just keep an eye on TM as you can pick up a second hand one for quite cheap but you really need to stump for good tyres as well $200-$250.
Glad you got some riding in because it has been real wet down here & tomorrow doesn't look much better.:weep:

DB I could be interested
just work out a day/time

If day suits I will be there
I think i need more practice

Went to Mt Wellington on Sat morning but it was really slippery in the wet

There was a few buckets there going fast
one really quick scooter!

It doesnt have to be North Harbour either, I live in the Mt Wellington area.. So anywhere with a large, secluded carpark realy... I'm thinking East Tamaki?

I am pretty flexible on hours, I guess we'l just wait till the weather gets better.

Cheers,
Geoff.

I put the D2 back together last night, just got to hook up the kill switch and add some 2-stroke mix and .............shall start it up tonight for the first time.

Provided there are not major hitches and pouring rain, I shall be there.
