Going up to Auckland on Thursday for Frosty's wedding.

It's on the list of stuff to do.

And damn, I wish a tank of gas was only $15. It's about $45 to fill the RF900 from empty.

So which day you think you are going?

$45, thats sounds like big tank you have! But perhaps it's all depends on how long it will last?

think isaac's calculation came up with something just over 30cents/km for his rf900.....but then again he is a big fulla and pretty much always had a pillion and hooned the fuck around :woohoo:

EDIT: just had a little bit more of a think and you have your petrol price generously low......hasnt been that low all year or for the better part of last year.....

My calcs are all correct. I spend enough time on them. I'm 100kgs/five foot ten and have a bit of a heavy wrist.

As for the petrol prices, we take full advantage of the Supermarket vouchers. I regularly save 10 - 15c a litre using them at the local Caltex on Fergusson Drive which takes ALL the local vouchers.

The average petrol price is calculated using the total price paid for petrol divided by the total litres of petrol used. It's ranged between about $1.60 and $2.20.

just decided to post my little old xs250's fuel.

Basically, a fill up costs like $20 max usually about $15, and it can go 150km on that easily, so assuming $2 per lire, thats 10 litres for 150k, or 7.5 litres average

That means 6.6 l/100km, or at best, 5 l/100km.

This is a bike from 1982. I think that owns

Edit: Oh yeah, I also floor it alot, if I was more cautious on the gas, I could probably get the fuel efficiency way up, since I run it up to nearly full revs most of the time

u lucky bugger. i paid $12, and got to see a bunch of things that 've already seen way too much. was well upset, thinking they'd have more in the way of bikes, as they did call it a car and bike speedshow. i think i counted all the bikes total, on one hand (including teh sole pocket rocket)! was really saddened, but i did do one of those racing simulations for kicks... was a bit of fun, so no big upset there. haha. saw a few mini's doind burnouts and stuff... again, nothing all that special. but for the most, i think i'd prob have more fun following the drags around auck, looking at equally well done up cars, but have the glorious opportunity of watchin the rich little prick-racers scratch up and crash them... there's the fun ppl. that's the real reason to be there!!!:devil2:)

Appreciate any vehicle designed for speed/looks/mechanics but with the load of crap at the show, it was a disappointment.
