I would like an inexpensive dirt bike that I can lift over fences and carry for short distances as easily as it can carry me, and can easily fit in the back of a station wagon. I'm a 65-70 kilo adult.

Who has experience with these cheapy Chinese models that claim a 65-80 kilo carrying capacity while weighing only ~25 kg themselves?

I imagine these will be far worse to ride and easier to break than a a decent bike, as well as noisy and unreliable. But if we're talking gentle trail riding rather than thrashing on jumps, are any of these bikes likely to last long enough to make it worthwhile?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Since trademe feedback is fairly limited, this thread should be valuable to anyone considering buying one these, so please stay on topic.

This is pretty much one of each of what trademe has going at the moment:

to be honest they could properly carry about 80kg and thenbike dosnt realy have enough bottom end power to get an adult up even a slight muddy hill ................i suggest you get yourself a rmz450 AND DONT LOOK BACK!!!!! lifes too short for chinese bikes!!!!!

I would stay way from those little off road bikes
They are just toys

If you have to go cheap
look for something like
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Pocket-pit-bikes/auction-181236938.htm

or
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dirt-bikes/auction-182219500.htm

Honda Z50 would still be the strongest

Good luck with finding a bike

Thanks guys, I guess my two criteria of "weighs 25 kilos" and "not shit" don't exist in the same bike...
