its gonna take more than a orange engine and a flat tire to defeat the daytona 1...................:ride:.....except you've got tires that ACTUALY stick to the track....

race is i think only 12 laps, but usually 15 min seasons etc, i think ur allowed pretty minimal dude...

had no issues in my one piece tho...

Gadgit
4th February 2009, 21:15
I race full one piece leathers and they are tight but plenty of room to move on the bike and I'm 6'2". Races are under 10mins long

my two piece is a bit tight fitting and i can have enough trouble as it is bending the knee armour/leather to get onto my rvf400, let alone a pocket rocket

i usually just ride with helmet, leather gloves, codura jacket, jeans, mx knee/shin guards and sneakers.... and yes i have crash tested this many times

sweet

except for one little problem....

i gave my bike a final fiddle and test - it went for 30 minutes solid riding without missing a beat... until the tyre blew out :angry2:

yep, the "spare" tyre has blown after all of an hour's total riding.

is there likely to be anyone there with a spare rear tyre?

No worries Grant, at least you got it out on the track and that should give you momentum to have it sorted for next round.

Bugger about the off(I hope your missus doesn't read these posts:innocent:) but with a couple of new parts she'll be all go.

Hopefully Dean will send some photos through & I'll post up on the nzmmrc website.

It was certainly a great day, thanks to Peter & John for organising and everyone who turned up.

cheers to everyone who helped with the tyres - unfortunately on both the wheels i brought with me the chinese bolts holding the sprockets on just sheared off when we tried to get the sprockets out of the way. decided it was a sign and went to squiggles' place to work on our bucket sidecar project.
