Fitting at the engine end of the clutch cable has broken.
If it was economic to replace - easy as, but I may see if it can be gas welded :)
What do you recon are my chances ??

P.S. Was my first ride after 4 months, 27th Sept, I did a bit of damage to self.
But today duty calls, daughters 400 has no clutch.
Happens to be right across town, so being one to no pass up a challenge I said I would ride it.
Hamilton rush hour ?? well as rushed as it gets eh :)
4 roundabouts
5 sets of lights
4 give-way left turns
5 give-way right turns

All good stuff especially when its not my bike & neutral wasnt that easy to find.
Kill switch of course was used lots !

Thanks to some pointers from Triboy I was able to obtain a "Clevis" from Apex Brake & Clutch. They make alot of cables for the automotive industry so was appropriate to visit them.
I had to put the slot in the Clevis so you can slide the cable on.
Also a feature of the original was a tab that held the cable end in place should the handle-bar-end be disconnected and the cable go loose. I elected to drill holes across and fitted a split pin just below the cable nipple. This should give the same result.

ed - Taking pics with phone and dirty hands doesnt quite get the in-focus effect, but tis a blurred result :)

And no I didnt clean all the chain muck out !! Perhaps if it was my bike :)
