Do i need any special tools to remove the clutch fibres on a cbr250?

vaguely remember the word rattle gun being mentioned.

If the cbr250 is like normal bikes, no. Rattle gun only needed if you want to take the clutch centre or clutch basket off.Remove covers, locate clutch, there should be 4 or 6 or so screw thingies retaining the springs. Remove same and the clutch pack (steels and fibres) pulls straight out.All assuming it's normal and Mr Honda hasn't perverted it. But watch out putting them back, there are often arcane requirements about order and positioning. Mr Manual is your friend.

Nope,

Cover off, spring bolts out, pull out all the steels and fibres.

You might need a new cover gasket though.

Mr Ixion said it better and faster.

If per chance a spring post comes loose be sure to loc-tite when you do it up.Personally i even use it on the spring retainers.I would be finding out the Torque figures as well.

hey ixion, what was the stuff we used to glue my gaskets back together when you came and helped me?

yep thats the part i need to remove.

howd you get on? i tired driftit it out with a screw driver and hammer, but just marked it up pretty bad aye

nah havnt been able to get them off, and cant get new fibers till the 15th.
I did put in heavier springs, and that seems to of done the trick.

shit sorry squiggles, i'll return the tools. I thought i'd done that already!!
