Following criticism of the policing of the 2008 Bulldog Bash, a working party comprising police and residents is to be established
Warwickshire Police said its £1m operation at the Bulldog Bash in Long Marston was needed after a Gerry Tobin was murdered on his way home in 2007. If the Bulldog Bash goes ahead in 2009 there will need to be a significant policing operation - how that will be carried out is still to be decided.
Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland said he would prefer there to be no event in 2009, as the Warwickshire force assesses whether they can request a review of the licence, which was granted by Stratford District Council last year despite police objections.
