Honda has launched a ‘flex fuel’ bike, through their Brazilian subsidiary, Moto Honda da Amazonia Ltda.
The 150cc ‘Titan Mix’ is equipped with a Mix Fuel Injection System, a flexible fuel technology developed independently by Honda. The Mix Fuel Injection System enables flexible mixture of environmentally-responsible bio-ethanol and gasoline fuels.
Use of alternative fuels has long been in place in Brazil, with pumps selling ethanol made from sugar cane long being a standard feature at petrol stations. 90% of new automobiles sold in Brazil are equipped with flexible fuel technology, but the Titan Mix is said to be the first motorcycle equipped to feature this innovation.
