One of my mates does Karting

They used to use Tyre compound on the tyres to make them sticky

can this be used on my minimoto tyres?

Just wondering

:shifty:

I was just wondering the same this week. They "pickle" the tyres with some goo that makes them sticky. Should work good.

is does make them alot more sticky:woohoo:, your not suppose to use it in karting:angry:, lol. It wears out your tyres really quickly though.

I just have the standard tyres on at the moment so I thought there may not be any harm in trying it.

If the tyre's falls apart or wear out then i have a good excuse to replace them with Sava's

So its no problem to try it for Mt Wellington ?
As its not racing for points are anything (Only Pride!)

Tyre dope... yip plenty of guys run it. really good on old or china made tyres. China made tyres I have seen wear out within 2 races with a good dosing of dope. Old sava or pmt can be bought back to life with it also

It's a nick name givin to the stuff you paint on to your zpf tyres Connor lol. Tyre doping is done in alot of road racing sports... paint on the night before, cover with glad wrap and leave in a dry dark place until race day.

Not to sure what it's made from never really looked into it but kart shops sell it as almost every kart team use it. I could hook a brother up if requierd lol

I used to get it from the kart shops, paint it on until the tyre stops sucking it up, wrap and leave over night, was good for 1-2 races max, thou tyre grip wasn't much chop after that and retreating it didn't bring back any extra grip
