    Tuesday 4th December


    This is an opportunity for all motorists to show your concern about the dangers of wire
    rope barriers ("Cheese Cutters") on New Zealand roads.
    If you feel these are a danger to motorcyclists and other road users, then join this protest ride
    to raise the public profile of the campaign to stop the
    construction of these and to improve the safety of existing barriers.

    Leaving: Yacht basin on Redoubt St, Taupo.

    Meet at 11:15 For 11:45 Departure

    Destination: ROAD SAFETY BARRIER SYSTEMS WORKSHOP, Suncourt Motor Hotel & Conference Centre.
    Approx 15-20 mins riding
    NB: there are no toilets, food stores or petrol pumps there.

      I would hope so, particularly since the Auckland motorway system must have freakin' kilometres of the stuff!!!

      I'll be bringing up 50 electrostatic stickers relating to the campaign if anybody wants to stick one (temporarily) on their bike. See me on the white RD250 with a green Z1000 nearby.

      It would seem that the HB crew along with MeekyMouse have picked up the reins of organising this. We've put in a lot of effort so far in planning to make this a worthwhile event.
      BUT we need bums on bikes to make this work. How do we get a show of hands to gauge numbers attending??

      Shit! I'd love to, but have just started a new job, so am unable to take time off during the week.

      Was already given a hard time abotu taking 1 day off to look after my sick boy, so I don't think they'll understand a bike ride...

      Anyway, I'll be thinking of you guys...
