    Bike Picture of the Week/Year

    I have just added a Picture of the Week/Year to the site.

    You can submit up to 3 pictures at anytime from one of your public albums. The submit link is on the view picture page. You also need to make albums viewable by Everyone or Registered Members in your Profile Privacy.

    You must have taken the picture yourself, or have permission from the image owner.
    All images must be motorcycle related in some way.

    View/remove your currently submitted pictures from the Community -> My Albums link.

    The POTW page shows all pictures submitted. From there you can pick your 1st (3 points), 2nd (2 points) and 3rd (1 point) favorite pictures. You can change your vote/s at anytime.

    If you delete your submitted picture from your album, your entry into the POTW/Y will be removed, even if you have won POTW.

    At the end of the week, the picture with the most points, then total votes, then submitted earliest, will be posted on the homepage as that weeks winner.

    At the end of the year, all the week winners can be voted for The Picture Of The Year.

    I am going to look into getting sponsorship for the POTW, so we can offer a prize to the winner of The Picture Of The Year.

      Image must be in your album. Then view the image from the album and you'll see the submit link.

      To enter a pic:

      Community (underneath the Bike Trader button)
      My Albums
      choose a public album
      upload a pic to the public album
      once it's upload click on the pic to view it full size
      above the pic there's a bunch of links, one is Submit Pic to POTW

      but where are the running result totals at?

      Not gonna show that. Also no user info shown for each image. Only thing that should influence the vote is the image itself.

      Also your vote/s stay after POTW winner to chosen so they're carried forward for the next weeks vote. Only the winners image and votes are removed.

      The newest images are displayed first. If it gets too many, I'll add an expire to images.

      Might like to show when voting closes. Possibly show how many times a particular pic has been entered and how many times each pic has won?? Might be some other useful stats as well.

      Voting never closes. End of Sunday a cron job picks the winner and removes the winning image and its votes from the POTW voting, then posts the winning image on the homepage. I'll create a page of all the POTW winners soon. Also need to sort the POTY code, but got time for that.
