From Daughter to Matriarch

Little did I know when I received a private message, on a web forum, from a complete stranger, that included these words...

"Break it down as small as you have to to make it maneageable, if you look at the complete picture then it just becomes too daunting and you're crushed by the weight of it. So it's one step, one small thing you try to do at a time.....and somehow things keep rolling along, and you manage to hang on to the last ragged vestiges of yourself when everyone/everything seems intent on pulling you apart."

... that I was on the brink of a journey I thought I was prepared to face, only to discover that I had fooled myself all along.
